 The trainer will explain the Rights of Blind People under the ADA, including in employment and, public and private services.

 This webinar focuses on challenging traditional automatic assumptions of “disability as deficit”  and poses a view of disability as diversity.  In this context, we discuss ten key points around respectful and effective workplace interactions with people with disabilities.

This session will review the following topics: • Being prepared: equipment, materials, and having a day of point of contact. • Being early: scouting out and setting up the site with time to spare • More than a crowd: engaging your audience, getting to know them, and having them interested in you and each other. • Knowing and understanding your audience: using attendee appropriate communication. • Staying on track: promoting discussion while monitoring time.

 This program focuses on disability demographic, economic, policy and employment trends in 2013.   Using an interactive format, participants explore what these trends mean for their professional practice.
