Join us for our Annual Year in Review Webinar! Christopher Sweet and Joe Zesski of the Northeast ADA Center will look back to notable developments related to the Americans with Disabilities Act as well as the Northeast ADA Center in 2024. They will share updates on ADA enforcement activities by different federal agencies, new technical assistance materials, and other federal efforts. Chris and Joe will also share what's new at the Northeast ADA and look ahead to some new resources coming in 2025.

January is Glaucoma Awareness Month
January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month, an important time to spread the word about this sight-stealing disease. Currently, more than 3 million people in the United States have glaucoma. The National Eye Institute projects this number will reach 4.2 million by 2030, a 58 percent increase. Glaucoma is called "the sneak thief of sight" since there are no symptoms and once vision is lost, it's permanent.

Enero es el Mes de la Concientización sobre el Glaucoma
Enero es el Mes Nacional de Concientización sobre el Glaucoma, un momento importante para correr la voz sobre esta enfermedad que roba la vista. Actualmente, más de 3 millones de personas en los Estados Unidos tienen glaucoma. El Instituto Nacional del Ojo proyecta que este número alcanzará los 4.2 millones para 2030, un aumento del 58 por ciento. Al glaucoma se le llama "el ladrón furtivo de la vista" ya que no presenta síntomas y una vez que se pierde la visión, es permanente.
